The day began with us meeting Heather in her hotel room where she and her bridesmaids would be getting ready. I could feel the excitement in the room. The back of Heather's dress had many buttons so all the girls helped with it. It was hands everywhere as they closed up the back. Her little flower girl was grinning ear-to-ear as she twirled around in her dress, and tried on Heather's fur shawl. She even showed me her American Girl doll, which was fancied up to match her flower girl dress.
Before the ceremony the ladies and I took a bus around the MSU campus for some photographs. Of course we stopped by Sparty. When we got to the MSU Alumni church, I left the bride and her friends to go photograph guests as they arrived, and to get some shots of the groom and his groomsman getting their flowers pinned on.
After the Ceremony we headed outside for a handful of group shots. it was a little chilly but the snow was coming down in beautiful large snowflakes. Which provided us with some wonderful winter portraits.
The reception took place at the MSU Union building. One of the most unique things I experienced at this wedding was their reception entertainment. They hired the MSU A Capella group to come and sing for the first hour. The rest of the night was much fun as they cut the cake, and had their first dance. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Heckman!
